Bottled Water Treatment System
A bottled water treatment system must be selected from the source-water analysis, intended finished product, destination requirements and operating plan. The filling machine should receive water that meets the confirmed product specification; it does not replace treatment design or local water-quality review.
Start with Source Water and the Intended Product
Do not select treatment equipment from the words mineral water or purified water alone. Provide current source-water data and define the intended product with qualified local advisers before the final process is approved.

Build the Process from Required Functions
A treatment proposal may include some of the functions below, but not every project needs the same sequence. The final process must follow the verified source and finished-water requirements.

Size Treatment from Volume and Operating Duty
Do not match treatment capacity to one filler BPH number without converting bottles into product volume. Calculate reference bottle volume multiplied by required good bottles, then include the agreed operating, storage and cleaning basis. Larger formats can change the volume demand even when BPH is lower.
- State the reference bottle and expected production mix by format.
- Separate saleable product water from cleaning and service-water demand.
- Define whether treatment runs continuously, in batches or ahead of filling.
- Confirm treated-water storage volume and minimum operating levels.
- Check pump flow and pressure at the filler connection under real operating conditions.
- Document reject-water, backwash and drainage responsibilities where applicable.
Calculate an Early Treatment Outlet Flow
Use the finished-water side first: finished liters per shift = good bottles x bottle volume in milliliters / 1,000. Minimum product flow = finished liters / net treatment run hours. Planning treatment outlet flow = minimum product flow x (1 + the allowance entered below). The allowance is a buyer-selected planning input, not an assumed process recovery.
- Use one reference bottle and one saleable shift target for the first calculation.
- Keep source-water feed flow separate; membrane recovery, backwash and reject flow require the actual treatment design.
- Check whether cleaning water, service water and treated-water storage are inside or outside the entered allowance.
- Ask the supplier to state outlet flow, source feed flow, operating hours, storage and filler connection conditions separately.
