Packing List Structure
- Package number and related machine/equipment code.
- Package type, dimensions, gross/net weight and markings.

Separate Freight and Import Responsibilities
Confirm the agreed trade term and named place/port. Clarify inland transport, export handling, ocean freight, insurance, destination handling, customs clearance, duties/taxes, unloading and delivery to site. A CIF discussion does not automatically include every destination charge.
Receiving Inspection at Destination
Check seals and external package condition, photograph damage before unpacking, reconcile package numbers and contents, report discrepancies promptly and store machines according to the agreed protection requirements until installation.
Create a Pre-Shipment Package Register
A package register connects the equipment list to export packing, freight booking, unloading and installation. The required packing method depends on the machine, route, storage conditions and agreed trade term.

Plan Arrival, Unloading and Storage Before the Vessel Sails
The supplier export boundary and buyer destination boundary should meet in a written logistics plan. Local safety, import, lifting and storage requirements remain buyer responsibilities unless the contract states otherwise.
